On July 20, 2025, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, the beloved actor and artist, lost his life in a tragic drowning accident at Playa Cocles, Costa Rica. According to the volunteer lifeguard organization who were patrolling that area, after finishing a surf lesson with a small group, Warner decided to return to the water.
